My experience using MS Word as a student through K-12 was a really reliable experience. MS Word really taught me how to fix and format essays throughout high school. I used this to write essays for advanced placement classes the most. I learnt how to use things like ClipArt and change fonts when I was in elementary school. The most fun I had with MS Word at FSU was choosing a colorful boarder for my newsletter assignment and decorating it.

For copyright and fair use in an educational environment it is most important to a teacher to be a leader for the students to respect that law. I believe that it is okay to do so once you give the person or website credit as in siting the source you found information on. As an elementary teacher, I would give students things that involve them thinking on their own . If it's an essay then it would in cooperate things from experiences in their lives so they would be original in telling their stories.

The first technology implementation issue I chose is Cyberbullying. Cyberbullying wouldn't be tolerated at all. One of the solutions I would implement in my classroom is that when the students join the school Wi-Fi or data it will limit them from certain sites and only use educational ones. I would encourage the parents of the student's to look out or be involved in the student's online social life.

The second technology implementation issue I chose is Academic Dishonesty. I would teach my student's what this is all about, the importance to not ever do it and the consequences for doing such a thing. Academic Dishonesty will not be tolerated through out a student's life. I would create a student honor council where students could enforce and write their own school rules for the classroom and abide by them.

 There are many things that influences K-12 teachers and students to use technology in the classroom. Firstly, for visuals and to show videos really helps captures the class's attention. Technology helps students develop according to their strengths and needs at their own speed. This type of teaching is also beneficial for the instructor because it allows them the time to focus with students who may be struggling individually.

In the ISTE Standards for Education the one that stood out to me was Designer. Designer in my opinion is being able to shape programs and the material to teach students which can even be personalized for a student's needs which they can always access. Educators can adapt and help design the programs or teaching styles to fit as in to be challenging, or to simply re learn something. This can be used for independent and dependent learning.

Digital natives in my opinion are more comfortable in the digital age, because they grew up being exposed and using technology. Digital immigrants are not that comfortable or did not grow up being so exposed to an environment about using technology. Digital natives like myself are more comfortable because technology was already invented and there and is always expanding. My grandma is a prime example of someone who is a digital immigrant. She doesn't have interest in expanding her knowledge about technology. She uses a flip phone and that is enough for her to just call. I can't hold a conversation about knowing how or what to do with technology cause she would just nod her head and listen but doesn't really have interest

My name is Shania. I'm from Trinidad and Tobago. I like to design and create DIYs( Do it yourself) with fashion and bedazzle my clothes. One of my favorite things about an outfit is finding the perfect shoes to go with it like Chanel or Louboutin and choosing which dazzling rings to wear. I also like to belly dance and watch TV shows like The Office and River dale. Growing up I fell in love to cook as well from simply watching my mom and grandma do it all the time, so now I can say I'm a pro at making things like curry chicken and roti.

My prior experience to using technology in an educational setting are Promethean boards back in elementary school. Also, later on smart boards came out and I thought they were pretty cool. I used to have an iPad and take notes with that for my high school classes but now I also use my Mac book Pro for notes in every class. I relay mostly on my Mac book because all my work is stored on it, it is the most convenient to use, and easy to carry around.

I hope to learn more about Excel because I never really learned the program or used it often previously. I have more knowledge of Microsoft Office. I also wish to learn more about blogging because prior to this, I never used or written blogs. I also want to learn how to create a website and website designing because I love to design things just never designed a website before. I wonder how I can bedazzle that.
